Our Sculptural Philosophy

Our likeness criteria: the soul before the plastic.

We do not conceive of a replica as a synthetic scan or an inert resin mould. Each figure is a tactile reinterpretation born from needle-felted wool, needle by needle. We aim to capture the living memory: that particular tilt of their head, the light in their gaze and the unrepeatable markings only you recognise when you stroke them.

The ocular gaze

German glass, hand-calibrated to the exact tone of their iris, reflection and emotional depth.

Mapping of markings

Exact tracing of spots, coat gradations, beloved scars and asymmetric white chests.

The posture of the bond

A poseable internal wire frame that recreates their particular way of sitting or resting their paws.

Critical recorded features
A chestnut patch over the left eye, pure white chest, soft waves in the long ears and a sweet, deep-set gaze.
When I opened the black box and saw the wax seal my stomach flipped. But when I touched their silky little ears and saw exactly Mateo’s gentle gaze... it was him. It is not a plush toy, it is pure devotion made into art.

Critical recorded features
The distinctive M on her forehead, the cinnamon spot under the chin and the millimetre white tip on the tail.
Tabby cats are difficult because every line is unique. When I opened the package in Barcelona and saw how they had replicated the mark on her chin I cried with emotion. It is like having her always awake beside my desk.

Critical recorded features
Grizzled white hair around the muzzle, silky fringes on the front paws and an inner core woven with a lock of their own coat, kept by the family.
Losing Nala after 13 years was devastating. When they sent us the preview video before dispatch we felt her infinite kindness was there. Knowing she carries her lock of hair in the heart of the wool makes holding her healing.
