Base Structure
Wire Articulation Frame
Internal frame in malleable 1.5 to 2 mm aluminium wire. It faithfully reproduces the curve of the spine, the angle of the hocks and the twist of the neck in their typical pose.
Four paws. An unbreakable bond Bespoke pet figures in needle-felted wool
From a poodle’s curly coat to a cat’s tabby texture or a mixed-breed dog’s greying muzzle: this is how we work merino wool to capture their uniqueness.
The density of the coat and the fidelity of the canine gesture.
Every breed has its own thermal and visual behaviour in its coat. Our carding team blends up to seven merino fibre tones to reach a sub-tone identical to your dog’s base coat.
Fibres aligned in the direction of growth with a size 40 needle to fix a silky sheen and prevent fraying.
Cold helical winding technique to recreate tight curls (poodles, bichons and Spanish water dogs).
Micro-thin inner core that reproduces the tension and soft fall of the cartilage without artificial stiffness.
Organic soft edges with no geometric cuts; smooth colour transitions as in nature.
“In breeds such as the Cavalier, the curls of the ears are carded lock by lock, respecting the natural fall of the side curls.”
Translucent gaze, paw pads and tabby gradations.
Feline anatomy demands millimetre precision: from the elastic silhouette of the spine at rest to the colour accuracy of eyes blown in glass.
Liquid glass capsules in the true tone: deep emerald, honey amber or sapphire blue with a vertical pupil.
Wavy micro-striping with intertwined micro-fleece; no feline stripe is a uniform straight line.
Modelled in natural wax and pressed wool to recreate the soft feel and the pink, grey or mottled colour.
Implanted one by one in the facial pad with natural diverging direction, resilient and light.
“The glass eyes are kiln-fired in small batches so the light reflection matches the depth of their living gaze exactly.”
Unique mixed breeds: the beauty is in their asymmetries.
Mixed-breed dogs and cats follow no kennel club standard: they have their own rules. Those quirks are precisely what turn the replica into an emotional, unmistakable portrait.
Independent calibration for bicolour eyes, sectoral iris markings and golden or bluish halos.
One erect and alert, the other gracefully folded: we keep the spontaneous posture of their head faithfully.
Millimetre freckling on the muzzle and senior greying applied strand by strand on the chin and eyebrows.
Combination of wools of different thickness for companions with a rough back and a velvety, silky chest.
“Asymmetries are not corrected: they are celebrated. They are the visual map of their life with you.”
A Paaaaws sculpture is not a soft toy. It is a solid work of sculpture structured in three technical layers conceived to last for generations.

Base Wool Carding
Compression of undyed raw fleece through dense needling. The muscle groups are sculpted: shoulders, hindquarters, ribcage and jaw, achieving a tactile firmness close to terracotta.
Surface Micro-Felting
Ultrafine merino fibres (19 microns), artisanally dyed and applied with a size 42 needle. The eyelids, the smiling muzzle and the markings typical of their anatomy are drawn in.
We resolve the most common questions about whether complex features, unusual coats or companions of any age are viable to reproduce.
Absolutely. From a Leonberger to a miniature chihuahua or a hairless sphynx: our process uses no prefabricated moulds. Each sculpture is born from scratch from the photographic compendium you send us in your file.
Those marks are the heart of the likeness. In the commission form you can attach close-ups of gum spots, notches in an ear, whorls at the nape or birthmarks. They are recreated with an ultrafine single-point needle to place them at their exact millimetre coordinate.
You decide the stage of life you want to immortalise. For senior dogs we blend white and silver-grey wool fibres around the muzzle, temples and brows to convey that wise, tender gaze. For puppies we sculpt rounder head proportions and sturdier paws.
Yes, it is one of our most moving requests. If you keep hair from your companion, we can place it in a small symbolic capsule at the heart of the sculpture or incorporate small locks into the outer coat so it keeps its genuine scent and feel.
